From thought to dream to reality

When I first knew that I was going to move to Colombia and saw that there was no place for kids to play the game, I THOUGHT it would be a great idea to build a little public golf facility, not just for kids, but for everyone who wanted to learn and play. I grew up playing public golf, and never dreamed that there were places with no public golf courses.

Once the thought was nurtured in my mind, it started to become a DREAM that I could positively affect the lives of an entire metropolitan area. The money that I spent buying the land was more than I expected, but upon signing the deed, I was the complete opposite of nervous. It appeared that this new dream was actually possible.

Yesterday, we shot our first video and invited some of the local kids to participate. It wasn’t really until yesterday that the thought, turned dream was starting to become a REALITY. It took the smiles and laughter of 15 kids for me to really understand what was going on here. I saw that this project was not only possible, but that it was ACTUAL.

Of course we still in a fundraising mode, but I am undeterred. There is no way I will let these kids down.
