When the going gets tough….

Let’s be honest…. we’re all in the same boat, just floating down different rivers. Our efforts to build an affordable place for people to enjoy the game of golf hinges on donations which have slowed, understandably. However, we have decided to plow ahead. We are continuing our plans to import driving range netting, erect the poles to support this 50ft net, and today started building our first miniature golf hole. It might not have the “bells and whistles” yet that I want, but we are proceeding nonetheless.

The plan is to open the driving range with a maximum distance of 150 yards. Our holes will eventually be that length and the people who have visited and used the range so far have thoroughly enjoyed (trying) to hit the ball! The miniature golf course will will help them assimilate to the putting aspect of the game.

A good friend of mine quipped the other day, “I choose NOT to participate in the recession”. That could be easier said than done depending which river your navigating.
